Advising Point Designs on Its Sale to Hanger, Inc.

Lucas Gielen and Bence Valics are proud to have advised Point Designs, a Colorado-based maker of high-strength, 3D-printed titanium prosthetic fingers for people with partial hand amputations, on its acquisition by Hanger, Inc., the leading U.S. provider of orthotic and prosthetic patient care. The transaction closed in July 2025.
Founded in 2016 by researchers from the University of Colorado, Point Designs built its products, including the Point Digit, Point Partial, and Point Thumb, around rugged, durable designs that restore function and independence for patients with upper-limb loss.
The engagement began while Lucas and Bence were at Podium Partners, working alongside the Podium team, and they continued to guide the owners through to closing. "It was a privilege to work closely with Levin Sliker and the Point Designs founders," said Lucas Gielen. "They built something that genuinely changes patients' lives, and Hanger is an ideal home for the next chapter.''
"The orthotics and prosthetics market is seeing real momentum, with established platforms looking for innovative, founder-built companies that bring differentiated technology and deep clinical expertise," said Bence Valics. "Point Designs is a great example of how a focused team with a strong product can become a strategic priority for a market leader.''
''We're grateful to our colleagues at Podium Partners for the partnership on this engagement," added Gielen.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
