Lucas Gielen

Lucas Gielen is a Managing Partner at RiverPark Partners where he leads the buildout of RiverPark’s advisory arm. His responsibilities include client acquisition and relationship management, market analysis, deal sourcing, networking, deal execution support, and strategic planning.

Mr. Gielen started his investment banking career at Podium Partners (FKA MFS Capital Advisors), a lower middle market-focused, boutique advisory firm. While at Podium, Mr. Gielen led firmwide business development and marketing efforts and established strategic relationships with private equity firms, family offices, independent sponsors, search funds, wealth managers, accountants, law firms, and other financial service provides.

Prior to working at MFS Capital Advisors, Mr. Gielen was a professional athlete with an entrepreneurial spirit. While training and competing full-time at elite sports clubs in Europe and preparing for the Summer Olympics Games along with various other international tournaments, Mr. Gielen founded The Mix Fix, a craft cocktail delivery service specialized on private events in New York City. Prior to founding his startup, Mr. Gielen also fulfilled an international sales and customer relations role at BBF-Bike, a leading German bike manufacturing company.

During his professional water polo career, Mr. Gielen has represented both The Dutch and German national teams. He is the only player in Dutch water polo history who has competed in the Champions League, the world’s strongest international club competition, for over eight seasons. Mr. Gielen is the former Captain of the Men`s Water Polo program at the New York Athletic Club where he won three U.S. National Championships in the past four years.

Mr. Gielen holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in International Business Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, The Netherlands, and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Marketing and Management from the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
